Shop minimum is $200. If you're interested in commemorative ash tattoos or simple fine line tattoos, it's best to book several at a time. This starting rate is per person and cannot be split among multiple people. However, certain flash designs by Anastasia, handwriting tattoos, and cover-up tattoos do have exceptions to the minimum price.
Fine line tattoos, especially those smaller than 4in x 4in, are typically charged at a flat rate instead of hourly. These delicate designs often hold complex meanings, making them popular for commemorative ash tattoos and script tattoos. Mastering the skills required for these intricate designs takes significant time and expertise. While many shops do not specialize in this style or in offering cover-up tattoos, have no fear—this is our specialty!

Many of my clients choose commemorative ash tattoos to remember loved ones who have passed. Whether you prefer fine line tattoos, script tattoos, or even large-scale blackwork designs that incorporate ashes into the ink, we promise to make this experience extra special! Our technique involves infusing ash into the ink with a witch-hazel solution, ensuring both quality and safety during the healing process, so you can honor those who have departed in a meaningful way, including with stunning cover-up tattoos.
Tattoos that are larger than 4.5in x 4.5in, full color, or artistically complex—such as commemorative ash tattoos, large-scale blackwork, cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, and script tattoos—will be charged at this rate. This includes tattooing time only. We do not charge for designing, minor changes to the initial design, or stencil time. However, full redesigns are subject to rescheduling fees if necessary. Typically, a 2hr-3hr session is standard.
All cover-up tattoos, including commemorative ash tattoos, require an in-person consultation prior to booking the tattoo appointment. These types of tattoos can be tricky, often necessitating multiple sessions to achieve the desired results. Whether you're considering fine line tattoos, large-scale blackwork, or script tattoos, be prepared to trust the process.
Black work, including large-scale blackwork and cover-up tattoos, is a very physically strenuous style of tattooing for both the client and artist. For these types of sessions, including commemorative ash tattoos and fine line tattoos, our max time is 4 hours per sitting.
Full day sessions are perfect for completing a variety of tattoos, such as commemorative ash tattoos, cover-up tattoos, and fine line tattoos, all within a short time span. Typically booked for large-scale blackwork or intricate sleeve and back pieces, these appointments are ideal for those who want multiple tattoos done at once. We generally spend about 8-12 hours in the shop during these sessions, catering to a single client rather than a tap-out session. Additionally, day sessions for a maximum of 2 clients are available at varying rates, allowing opportunities for script tattoos or collaborative designs.
We offer Numbing Cream as an additional service, particularly crucial for clients undertaking larger scale blackwork or commemorative ash tattoos. Any client who applies their own numbing cream at home will not be able to proceed with their scheduled appointment that day. We utilize Super Numb 5% Lidocaine cream and follow a special procedure that enhances the effectiveness of the product, ensuring a more comfortable experience for those getting fine line tattoos, script tattoos, or cover-up tattoos.
Touch-ups for commemorative ash tattoos and other designs are available for $65, which covers the cost of supplies. If you're booked for another tattoo, such as large-scale blackwork, the supply fee is waived. This fee applies to work done at our studio by our artists, including fine line tattoos and script tattoos. Please note that touch-up work or reworking cover-up tattoos or other tattoos done by unaffiliated artists at different facilities are charged at a separate rate under 'cover-ups and reworkings.'
Deposits for tattoos, including commemorative ash tattoos, cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, large-scale blackwork, and script tattoos, are typically 15%-30% of the total cost and must be paid to book your appointment. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and will go toward the final balance of your chosen tattoo. For more details on policies regarding late fees, cancellations, and rescheduling, please refer to our guidelines.
Consultations are typically required for large-scale blackwork projects, commemorative ash tattoos, cover-up tattoos, and reworkings. The $50 deposit goes toward the final balance of the tattoo, which can include fine line tattoos or script tattoos. Deposits are non-refundable and required to book the appointment.

All appointments for commemorative ash tattoos, cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, large-scale blackwork, and script tattoos are scheduled a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Clients will receive allocated time with their artist to collaborate on the desired project.
Consultations and appointments require a non-refundable deposit due at the time of booking. All designs, including those for commemorative ash tattoos or cover-up tattoos, will be shown in person on the day of the appointment and are not eligible to be reviewed beforehand. Any changes to the design will be addressed in person. Full redesigns and last-minute adjustments will incur associated rebooking fees.
Each Client must put down a deposit for their own appointments, including those for commemorative ash tattoos or large-scale blackwork. Deposits are not transferable to other Clients and will contribute toward the total cost of services, whether it's for cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, or script tattoos. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable.
Clients who arrive more than 15 minutes past their appointment for commemorative ash tattoos will be subject to a late fee of $100. Any client arriving 30 minutes late without prior communication, regardless of whether they are getting cover-up tattoos or fine line tattoos, will be rescheduled. The previous deposit will be void, and a new deposit will be required to rebook, especially for large-scale blackwork or script tattoos.
Any No Call No Show occurrences result in immediate blacklisting from Blvck Widow Ink and all affiliates, impacting your ability to book future sessions for commemorative ash tattoos, cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, large-scale blackwork, and script tattoos.
Touch ups are subject to a $65 supply fee. However, this fee is waived if the touch up is for commemorative ash tattoos, cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, or large-scale blackwork previously done by Blvck Widow Ink and is requested during another tattoo appointment, including any script tattoos.
Appointments that are cancelled less than 72 hours in advance and not rescheduled will forfeit the deposit. Any appointment cancelled in less than 48 hours will automatically lose their deposit, and a new deposit will be required to book. We have a 3-strike policy in place. If any client cancels their appointment on short notice (less than 72 hours) three times, they will be blacklisted from Blvck Widow Ink and our affiliates, which could affect future opportunities for commemorative ash tattoos, cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, large-scale blackwork, and script tattoos.
Black-listing clients is never something an artist wants to do, especially when it comes to creating commemorative ash tattoos or intricate fine line tattoos. However, when boundaries are disrespected, we must protect ourselves and our income.
Clients who find themselves black-listed will receive notice once the ban is put into effect.
So, how does one get black-listed?
- Cancelling their appointment with short notice three times
- Violating policies
- No-Call No-Show (one offense)
- Using substances in our facility
- Bringing children or unfit guests
- Non-payment or late payment
- Engaging in other unacceptable behavior, including issues arising during cover-up tattoos and large-scale blackwork sessions.
We prioritize a respectful and professional environment to ensure every client receives the best experience, especially when it involves personal and meaningful designs like script tattoos.
ALL CELLPHONE RINGERS MUST BE SILENCED, and please use external media only with headphones. To ensure a peaceful environment for those getting commemorative ash tattoos, cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, large-scale blackwork, and script tattoos, kindly refrain from taking phone calls during your appointment. If a call is unavoidable, please step outside our studio.
We do not allow clients to use or provide their own numbing products when getting commemorative ash tattoos or any other type of tattoo, including cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, large-scale blackwork, and script tattoos. Many numbing products available online are banned by the FDA or contain harmful ingredients that could compromise the healing process of your tattoo.
To ensure a safe and effective experience, we follow a specific procedure that involves applying a 5% lidocaine topical. This will numb the affected area once it has been applied to the skin and covered with plastic wrap for a minimum of one hour.
Clients are allowed to bring ONE additional guest with them to their appointments, which is especially meaningful for those getting commemorative ash tattoos or cover-up tattoos. All guests must be 18 years of age or older, able to conduct themselves in a respectful manner, and maintain the sensory-friendly nature of our environment, whether clients are here for fine line tattoos, large-scale blackwork, or script tattoos.
Clients who are currently taking certain medications may not be eligible to undergo tattooing procedures, including commemorative ash tattoos, fine line tattoos, cover-up tattoos, large-scale blackwork, or script tattoos. These medications include blood thinners, ibuprofen, antibiotics, or any immune system compromising agents. Clients must refrain from using such substances no less than 72 hours prior to their appointment. If this is not possible, physician confirmation of safety is required.
Any clients who are immune compromised or have a medical condition that may negatively impact healing, such as blood diseases or disorders, must have medical clearance from a licensed physician before proceeding with their scheduled tattoo session, whether they are interested in commemorative ash tattoos, cover-up tattoos, fine line tattoos, large-scale blackwork, or script tattoos.

After 4 weeks, it is essential to apply sunscreen when the tattoo is exposed to sunlight for prolonged periods of time. It is advisable to cover the tattoo with clothing to protect it.
Additionally, any spray tan or self-tanner must be removed from the area prior to tattooing, especially if opting for delicate script tattoos. The area should not be reapplied with such products for a minimum of 8 weeks after the tattooing process.
Do not submerge the affected area for 6 weeks.
